A quick update on Blogging status

we made it safely to Christ Church, Oxford. Currently, I can only access the internet on the Windows PC (ughh), which, combined with the English keyboard layout (which makes the shift key on the left really tiny), makes it very difficult to type. I will hopefully have a big update tomorrow.

Suffice to say, the accomodations here are pretty good. Most people are in Boar Quad, which is pretty modern. I, however, am in Tom Quad, which is older and more run down, but has it's own particular charm.

We took a tour this afternoon, and got to go into some of the gardens which others are not allowed into, which was of course rather nice. Lots of things associated with Alice in Wonderland. Everything in the book is based on Oxford citizens (including Alice, who was a real person...her parents are buried behind the cathedral). We then had Tea in the Great Hall (which inspired the Hall in the movie version of Harry Potter), and we got to sit the the head table, which was pretty neat.

We also had dinner in the Great Hall, and it was wonderful. Inlcuded a pastry dessert shaped as a swan. I got a picture, but again, it will take a bit to get everything up and running...
