Live 8
In London is over. Didn't really even know about this "G8" conference that is in Edinburgh next week. Will have to watch out for protesters, etc.
I would just like to take this oppurtunity to say that MTV/VH1's coverage of Live 8 was an embarresment. THEY CUT AWAY AND TALKED DURING "THE WHO" AND "PINK FLOYD!!!" What in the world were they thinking? Were they simply daft? First time PF plays together since 1981, and MUSIC TELEVISION ruins it.
AOL, on the otherhand, streamed the whole thing on the internet. BBC showed the whole concert, without commercials, on TV.
Moments like this make me embarressed to be an American.
